A few simple things you can do to protect your skin :

need even more sleep.
Keep skin clean and dry. Use dusting/talcum powder in skin
folds and areas like the armpits and groin.
Keep your diabetes well controlled. People with high glucose
levels tend to have dry skin ,which is more susceptable to
infections.
A daily bath Cleanses the skin and reduces the likelihood
of skin infections.Avoid very hot baths and showers.Moisturizing
soaps may be of helpto prevent dry skin.Use mild shampoos
and unscented soaps. Do not use deos or feminine hygiene sprays.
Dont Scratch, scratching dry or itchy skin can injure and
open it up and allow infection to set in.
During cold, dry months, keep your home more humid.Moisturize
your skin to prevent chapping, especially in cold or windy
weather.

soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals like Mercurochrome
antiseptic, alcohol, or iodine to clean skin .An antibiotic

with sterile gauze.
